JetBackup helps you secure your website by creating regular backups of files, databases, and emails. Itβs easy to restore data in case of accidental deletion, hacks, or updates gone wrong.
1οΈβ£ How Backups Work

JetBackup automatically creates copies of your website data.

Backups include:

Website files (
httpdocs/public_html) -
Databases (MySQL)

Emails

Backups are stored on the server for a set duration (daily, weekly, monthly).
π Backups do not affect website performance.
2οΈβ£ Restoring Files, Databases, Emails
JetBackup allows selective or full restoration.
Steps to Restore Files:

Log in to Plesk β JetBackup

Click File Backups
-
Select backup date
-
Browse folders or files
-
Click Restore
Steps to Restore Databases:

Click Database Backups
-
Choose database
-
Select backup date
-
Click Restore
Steps to Restore Emails:

Click Email Backups
-
Select mailbox
-
Choose date
-
Click Restore
π You can restore individual files without restoring the full website.
3οΈβ£ Scheduling Backups

Plesk + JetBackup allows automatic backups.

Recommended schedule:

Daily backups β active sites
-
Weekly backups β low traffic sites
-
Monthly backups β archive / long-term retention

How to set a schedule:

Open JetBackup β Backup Schedules

Click Create Schedule
-
Select type: Daily / Weekly / Monthly

Choose retention period (days to keep)

Save schedule
π Automatic backups reduce the risk of data loss.

Always verify backups after major changes

Keep at least 2β3 recent backups

JetBackup allows for quick restore, so no downtime

Do not rely solely on local backups; server backups are safer
